I thought I was beyond words this week.
Children killed while innocently playing on Gaza beach and Malaysian planes being shot from the sky…. incomprehensible senselessness.
Then, while trying to reply to Kelly’s heart wrenching post over at a life less frantic, I managed a sentence or two that I have shared below.
I hear your pain, I feel your sadness, I hear your grief, I feel your anguish as life disrespectfully goes on regardless… hearing our pain, feeling our sadness, hearing our grief, feeling our anguish is how our compassion unites kindred souls and respectfully honours that which cannot be undone.
If you are choking back tears of sorrow for whatever reasons today please let them flow. In the words of Washington Irving…
“There is sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition and of unspeakable love.”
~ Washington Irving
I think I’ll leave todays thoughts here. Love Xxx
Such beautiful words Sandra. It’s so hard to comprehend isn’t it 🙁
Thanks Em… it’s inexplicable 🙁
So beautifully written Sandra. Tears are cleansing for the soul – I say let them flow when they need to xx
Wise words Sonia Xx
Your words are magical Sandra. I can’t tell you how much better they made me feel tonight xxx
I feel you have a deeply caring heart Kelly. Hugs for you Xxx
I’m so glad I’ve read your words Sandra. I have been fighting back tears after reading about the flight, and finding out one of my teachers was on it. It’s just devastating and trying to make sense of it is so useless. I think a good cry is needed. Thanks again for your beautiful words xx
Oh Elisa my heart goes out to you. It truly is beyond words… tears the only form of expression. Hugs Xxx
Amen …
