I love Sundays don’t you?
It seems to be the one day of the week where people are happy to linger a little longer over a coffee and a chat, or take a lazy stroll around the neighbourhood with the kids and the dog, or just chillax on the back veranda listening to the harmonious chorus of humming lawn mowers serenading your reading of newspapers while the child you adore timely adds bass to the symphony bouncing his beloved basketball.
Classic Sunday serenity right there.
Today I am particularly excited because I am guest posting and Sunday chillaxing over with the awesome community at Woogsworld.
Thanks so much for having me Mrs Woog!
I may be having a vent about laundry or I may be not? Check it out here.
If you haven’t already discovered the hilarious (and caring) Mrs Woog pop on over and check out her site. This is what she has to say about herself on her about page.
I am a mouthy 40-something housewife from the burbs. I write about all kinds of things, mainly what is going on in my head. I cover family, politics, food, travel, some very lame attempts at fashion, social issues, wine, cheese. And I write a lot about laundry. I am pretty much running late all the time, and will more often or not turn up somewhere with food spilt down my top.
Do yourself a favour and check her out.
After reading my guest post today my regular readers may be forgiven for thinking that yes, I have finally lost it.
After all, so far I have written posts likening the form and characteristics of my constant fatigue to resemble this sexy little beast that you can read about here and here
Referred to my heckling inner-critic living in my head to a cross between this bunch of fluffy-ness you can read about over here
And this charming delightful dribbling character
Just this week I blamed my wordless writing sabbatical on the inside of my head resembling scrambled alphabet soup here
And then today at Woogsworld there is yet another analogy giving you a sneak peek into my chemo fried brain!
What can I say? I guess I like to leave you with long lasting insightful (or may be disturbing) visions of what it’s like to be me.
On a more sensible and stable note, I’ll be trying to whip the external part of myself into some acceptable state as the niece/daughters valedictory year 12 dinner is this Friday.
There will be hair appointments, much plucking of mono-brow, careful shaving of pins (waxing makes me scream like a banshee), spakfilla applied meticulously for maximum wrinkle free effect on the evening and much sucking in of pot belly shall be done.
No one will be looking at us parents anyhow for it’s all about the young ones celebrating the end of their schooling life and embarking on the road to realisation that being a responsible adult sucks big time and forlornly wishing forever more they could return to the carefree life of colouring in boyfriend/girlfriend names on their pencil cases and clothes appearing magically back in their wardrobes smelling fresh, folded and wrinkle free.
May their futures be bright, may they live long and prosper yada yada so they can keep their ageing parents in a lifestyle we would like to be accustomed too… we’ve earned it!!!
Stay safe and have a great week every body. Xx
Smiling with delight! Enjoy Friday night! 🙂
Thank you lovely Majella 🙂 Xx
Hey there Sandra!
I found you over at Mrs Woog’s place today and commented for you there. I am totally with you on the washing, and the brain, no chemo here but very very vague. Great to find your blog. All the best

Hi there Kylie!
Thanks for stopping by and leaving your thoughtful comments. I’ve had a quick look at your amazing blog and I’ll be popping back over later tonight for another read.
Take care now x
I found you at Mrs Woog and bobbed on over to start digging through your laundry! I’m baking and watching the hubster revamp my blog and procrastinating about my real life laundry mountain. Just like the Terminator, I’ll be back! Have an awesome week x
Ha ha, if you happen to find my fav white t-shirt while you’re digging through my laundry be sure to let me know.
A blog revamp? I’ll have to pop over and check that out!
Thanks for your comments and bobbing by Sammie 🙂 Xx
Wow! What a great opportunity! I do follow Woogsworld. I am just chillaxing now after a very busy Sunday catching up with family and friends. Will be over to Woogsworld shortly to check it out. Good for you!
